CAIRO, Oct 9 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has held a phone call with Kais Saied to congratulate him on being re-elected as president of Tunisia for another term.

Sisi wished the Tunisian president success in his new term, Presidential Spokesman Ahmed Fahmy said.

During the phone call, President Sisi emphasized Egypt's keenness on fostering bilateral cooperation in various fields in a way that helps achieve the interests of both sides, as well as on continuing close coordination towards confronting the challenges facing Arab national security.

Meanwhile, the Tunisian president expressed his deep appreciation for Sisi's nice gesture, stressing the strength of Egypt-Tunisia historical relations.

Saied praised the remarkable development being witnessed in bilateral relations at various levels.

He also asserted his country’s keenness to promote cooperation and coordination with Egypt and advance them to broader horizons that meet the aspirations of the two countries' brotherly peoples. (MENA)
