CAIRO, Oct 1 (MENA) – France’s Ambassador to Egypt Éric Chevallier on Tuesday paid a visit to the factory of Schneider Electric Corporation in Cairo.

The visit, which is the first for the ambassador since he assumed his post in January, is part of the diplomat’s efforts to strengthen bilateral economic ties and support French investments in Egypt.

The diplomat was received by the CEO of Schneider Electric in East Africa region and a host of senior officials of the corporation in Egypt.

Chevallier toured the factory, which produces low-voltage panels with a production capacity of nearly 10,000 cells a year.

The factory aims to localize this industry as more than 40% of the factory’s production is exported to over 30 countries, contributing to creating 600 direct job opportunities. (MENA)
