RIYADH, Sept 16 (MENA) – Saudi Minister of Commerce Majid Al-Kassabi has expressed hope that the Saudi-Egyptian Investment Protection Agreement would contribute to increasing joint investments.

The minister's remarks came on Monday at a meeting with Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli, who is on a current visit to Saudi Arabia. The meeting was attended by senior Egyptian and Saudi officials and a host of major investors.

The Saudi minister lauded the premier's sincere efforts on upgrading the business climate and attracting foreign investments to the Egyptian market.

Kassabi also praised the great efforts exerted, under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, to boost cooperation between the two countries.

For his part, the president of the Federation of Saudi Chambers of Commerce welcomed the visit of Madbouli and his accompanying delegation, voicing keenness to cement economic ties and promote bilateral trade cooperation to contribute to serving the mutual interests of Egypt and Saudi Arabia.
