CAIRO, July 1 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi congratulated Mauritania's incumbent President Mohamed Ould Cheikh El Ghazouan on his re-election as president of Mauritania with 56 per cent of the vote.

Posting to his official Facebook account on Monday, Sisi extended his congratulations to Ghazouan, wishing him all success in his efforts to serve his nation, as well as Arab and African causes, given his current role as Chairperson of the African Union.

Sisi said he is looking forward to fostering joint cooperation at all levels to achieve development and prosperity for the Egyptian and Mauritanian peoples. (MENA)
