CAIRO, June 28 (MENA) - The Cabinet's media center has denied rumors about suspending the Advanced Cargo Information (ACI) system.

In a statement released on Friday, the center said that it contacted the Egyptian Customs Authority (ECA), which categorically denied those claims, asserting that the ACI system is functioning normally.

The ECA added that more than 98,000 applications have been received by the ACI system since May 1 till now, noting that imported commodities worth USD 12 billion have been released from ports during this period.

The center appealed to all mass media outlets and social media users to seek accuracy and objectivity when spreading any news, and to communicate with the relevant bodies to verify the authenticity of information to avoid publishing fake news that could spark confusion among the public. (MENA)
