CAIRO, Oct 12 (MENA) - The State Security Court has sentenced two defendants to 15 years of rigorous imprisonment, and two others to 10 years in the case known in the media as the "Hisham Ashmawy Terrorist Cell".
The court also sentenced seven defendants to seven years, including six in rigorous imprisonment, in the same case.
A minor was ordered to be placed in a center for juvenile delinquents.
The defendants are accused of forming a terrorist cell carrying out activities aimed at disturbing social order, endangering public safety, and disrupting the constitution in the period between 2013 and 2016.
They are also charged with targeting army and police forces, undermining the freedom of citizens, and endangering national unity and social peace. (MENA)
