CAIRO, June 25 (MENA) - Egyptian Ambassador to New Zealand George Azer called on New Zealand companies to take advantage of opportunities and benefits available in the Egyptian market.
During a virtual meeting organized by Azer in cooperation with the New Zealand Middle East Business Council (NZMEBC) and the New Zealand embassy in Cairo, the ambassador highlighted the strong potential and promising opportunities within the Egyptian economy.
The event saw the participation of a number of New Zealand businesspeople and companies interested in the Egyptian market, as well as New Zealand companies already operating in Egypt and Egyptian companies exporting to New Zealand.
The ambassador asserted that the Egyptian market has demonstrated resilience despite regional tensions and global economic challenges.
Azer also pointed to positive economic indicators reflecting Egypt’s GDP growth, the rising levels of foreign direct investment and the recent boom in the tourism sector.
The meeting featured an engaging and interactive dialogue, with contributions from businesspeople on both sides. Some companies already operating in Egypt shared their success stories, which served as encouraging examples for other businesses considering entry into the Egyptian market.
Moreover, a number of Egyptian companies outlined ambitions to expand their presence in New Zealand.
The virtual session offered an important platform for networking and exploring potential avenues for mutually beneficial partnerships between Egyptian and New Zealand businesses. (MENA)
