CAIRO, June 12 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi issued Thursday presidential Decree No. 55 of 2025 approving the minutes of the formation of the Saudi-Egyptian Supreme Coordination Council.

The House of Representatives ratified the decree during a session held on March 24.

According to the decree, President Abdel Fattah El Sisi will chair the Egyptian side, and Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman will preside over the Saudi side.

The council will include ministers and high-ranking officials from both countries across relevant sectors.

Each side will appoint a secretary-general to coordinate efforts, ensure implementation, and oversee all related tasks.

The Council is established to enhance strategic cooperation in vital areas including political, security, economic, trade, investment, education, healthcare, environment, culture, industry, agriculture, technology, digital transformation, communications, infrastructure, transportation, and energy domains.

It will also convene regularly on a rotating basis between Egypt and Saudi Arabia.

The two secretaries general of the Council will prepare a joint minute of agreement on a governance framework outlining the Council’s structure, responsibilities, and mechanisms for coordination and communication, with a view to realizing the Council's interests. (MENA)
