CAIRO, May 21 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Expatriates Badr Abdelatty praised Wednesday the growing momentum in Egypt’s relations with Zambia.
This came during a meeting he had with Zambian Foreign Minister Mulambo Haimbe on the sidelines of the African-European Ministerial Meeting held in Brussels, according to a press release by the foreign ministry.
He pointed to the need to boost trade exchange by enhancing access for Egyptian products to the Zambian market and taking advantage of the two countries' membership in the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA).
Abdelatty welcomed the ongoing coordination between the Arab Contractors Company and the Zambian Ministry of Infrastructure to implement a number of projects, praising the existing cooperation between Egypt and Zambia in the health sector.
He stressed the importance of continued coordination between both countries in regional and international organizations, particularly the African Union, to serve the interests of Africa and its peoples. (MENA)
