10TH OF RAMADAN CITY, Egypt, May 20 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly inaugurated on Tuesday a new factory of SE Wiring Systems Egypt, a subsidiary of Sumitomo Electric Systems Europe, located in the 10th of Ramadan City.
He was accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister for Industrial Development and Minister of Industry and Transport Kamel el-Wazir,
With investments worth 22 million euros, the factory is built on an area of 150,000 square meters and is expected to create approximately 3,000 direct job opportunities. The facility is considered one of the largest in the world dedicated to the production of automotive wiring harnesses.
SE Wiring Systems Egypt was established in 2008 under the private free zones system. It operates nine factories across Port Said, 10th of Ramadan City and 6th of October City, with combined investments estimated at around 160 million euros.
Over the past five years, the company has generated approximately 900 million euros in sales, including over 260 million euros in the last year alone. It currently provides employment for 12,000 workers and exports 100 percent of its production to international markets.
