CAIRO, April 17 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi asserted Egypt's utmost keenness on offering full support for all regional and international efforts to calm down the situation in eastern Democratic Republic of Congo region and reach a peaceful political solution to restore regional peace and security.
That came in a telephone call with Paul Kagame, President of the Republic of Rwanda, on Thursday.
Spokesman for the Presidency Mohamed el Shennawi said the contact tackled ways of boosting bilateral cooperation between the two countries, particularly in the economic and developmental fields and joint projects in the different sectors.
The spokesman said President Sisi discussed with his Rwandan counterpart ways of enhancing cooperation among the Nile Basin countries.
He said the contact dealt with the situation in Central Africa, with an emphasis on ways of restoring calm to eastern Democratic Republic of Congo region. (MENA)
