KUWAIT CITY, April 15 (MENA) – President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has expressed keenness to foster cooperation with Kuwait in all fields, particularly economic and investment domains.

Sisi on Tuesday was received by Kuwait's Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah during the president’s current Gulf tour.

The president lauded Kuwait’s efforts on economic development under the Kuwait Vision 2035, voicing hopes that investment and trade exchange can be increased between the two Arab countries.
Both sides underlined the need to cease fire in the Gaza Strip immediately, release hostages and prisoners, deliver humanitarian aid and start reconstructing the Palestinian enclave under the Arab proposed plan.

They rejected the forced displacement of Palestinian people, calling for reviving serious political efforts to establish an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.

The Kuwaiti Crown Prince welcomed the visit of Sisi, praising Egypt’s efforts on backing security and stability in the region, Presidential Spokesman Mohammed El Shennawy said.

Sisi lauded warm hospitality offered by the Kuwaiti side, highlighting Egypt’s efforts on reaching ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

The meeting also reviewed the latest developments on the situation in Syria and regional and international efforts to solve the Yemeni crisis and support stability in Sudan, El Shennawy added.

Sisi on Monday arrived in the State of Kuwait in the second leg of his Gulf tour. The President was received by Emir of the State of Kuwait, Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, and Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Yousef Saud Al-Sabah.

Welcoming the President's arrival in the State of Kuwait, a number of Kuwaiti warplanes escorted his aircraft upon its entry into Kuwaiti airspace. Additionally, Kuwaiti scout children lined up as President El-Sisi exited the Amiri Airport, carrying the flags of the two brotherly countries, in a scene reflecting the depth of the fraternal ties between the two countries.
