CAIRO, March 20 (MENA) - The Foreign Ministry says Egyptian diplomacy never wavers in preserving national security and spares no effort to defend the country's highest interests in peace and war.
In a statement released Thursday, the ministry said the arduous diplomatic battle to liberate Taba was a testament to the resilience and skill of the Egyptian negotiator.
On March 19, 2025, Egypt marked the 36th anniversary of raising Egypt's flag over Taba after a 14-month diplomatic battle, which ended with a historic ruling of the Geneva Court of Arbitration.
On September 29,1988, the Geneva-based court ruled Taba belongs to Egyptian territories. (MENA)
