CAIRO, March 15 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli has lauded the pivotal role of the Egyptian Space Agency (EgSA) to achieve sustainable development goals through adopting space technology.
The premier’s remarks came Saturday during the 10th meeting of the agency’s board at its headquarters in New Cairo in the presence of Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat, CEO of EgSA Sherif Sedqi and a host of respective officials.
Madbouli extended thanks to the agency board members over their great efforts to contribute to the national development process.
For his part, Sedqi commended the premier’s ongoing support for the agency, reviewing a report on remarkable achievements made by EgSa over the past period.
During the meeting many topics were discussed, most notably the agency’s preparations for launching new satellites and Egypt’s hosting of the NewSpace Africa 2025 conference on April 21-24 under the theme of “Empowering Africa's Economy through Space-Driven Innovation”, Spokesman for the Cabinet Mohammed El Homsany said.
