CAIRO, Feb 28 (MENA) - Dar Al Ifta announced that Saturday, March 1, will mark the first day of the holy fasting month of Ramadan of the Hijri year 1446.

In a statement, Dar al Ifta's committees nationwide spotted the crescent of Ramadan, the ninth month of the Islamic calendar.

This means that Friday, February 28, is the last day of the month of Sha'ban and Saturday is the first day of Ramadan, with the sighting of the crescent moon. (MENA)
