CAIRO, Feb 26 (MENA) - Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli said Wednesday the state backs farmers and wheat cultivation; a strategic commodity.

Madbouli said. in a press conference following the weekly cabinet meeting, that the price of local wheat ton will reach some USD 285, while global price is only USD 260.

He pointed out that about 3.5 million tons of wheat are supplied every year, but this year it may reach 5 millions.

He warned citizens not to be dragged behind unverified online platforms promising quick financial gains.

Lately, security forces arrested 13 suspects involved in a large-scale online fraud scheme linked to the FBC platform, which deceived over 100 victims out of nearly EGP 2 million.

The suspects lured victims by falsely claiming to invest their money in software development and digital marketing, promising high financial returns. (MENA)
