CAIRO, Feb 26 (MENA) – Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouli announced an upcoming visit by the Kuwaiti Prime Minister to Egypt, during which joint economic and investment projects will be revealed.
During the press conference following the weekly Cabinet meeting, Madbouli noted that bilateral relations with Kuwait are witnessing significant growth, with more cooperation expected in many sectors.
During his recent visit to Kuwait, he delivered President Abdel Fattah El Sisi’s invitation to Emir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah to attend the Arab Summit in Cairo on March 4.
Discussing regional affairs, he touched on President Sisi’s recent diplomatic efforts, including visits to Spain and Saudi Arabia, where discussions focused on Palestinian rights and Gaza reconstruction.
On economic performance, Madbouli stated that foreign direct investment (FDI) reached $2.7 billion in the first quarter of 2024/2025, indicating steady growth.
He pointed out that Egypt’s exports and local industry continue to expand, while remittances from Egyptians abroad have increased significantly.
Madbouli also confirmed that new industrial and economic partnerships have been signed within the Suez Canal Economic Zone.
Tomorrow, Madbouli will visit Ain Sokhna to inaugurate new projects and oversee development progress at the port. (MENA)
