CAIRO, Feb 12 (MENA) - Personal Representative of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to the G20 and BRICS and Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs ambassador Ragy el-Etreby participated in the first meeting of the Champions Council of the Global Alliance on Health and Pollution (GAHP) as Egypt's champion.
The meeting was held virtually and inaugurated by Brazil's first lady.
During the meeting, Egypt's champion said Egypt prioritizes rallying international efforts to eradicate poverty and hunger within the framework of achieving the goals of sustainable development.
Etreby reiterated the necessity of paying more attention to the challenges of food security in the developing countries.
He pointed out to the importance of focusing the work of the GAHP on building the capabilities of developing countries.
The GAHP groups Egypt, Brazil, China, India, South Africa, Rwanda, Ethiopia, the UAE, Kenya, EU, UK, Norway, Portugal and Germany. (MENA)
