CAIRO, Jan 31 (MENA) - Party leaders lauded the rally staged by Egyptians at the Rafah border crossing to express their full support for the stance adopted by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi and the Egyptian state institutions against any proposal to displace the Palestinian people.
In press statements, leaders of 42 political parties said the Egyptian people delivered a clear message to the whole world expressing their support for the political leadership and President Sisi in preserving Egypt's national security.
They also expressed support for Egypt's firm stand towards the Palestinian issue and its genuine efforts to back the Palestinian people's rights throughout history.
The Alliance of Egyptian Parties expressed its outright rejection of "blackmail" attempts and plans for the forced displacement of the Palestinians from their lands.
Secretary General of the Alliance of Egyptian Parties Tayseer Matar said that hundreds of thousands of Egyptians "had their say today" and announced their complete support for all decisions taken by President Sisi to preserve Egypt’s national security.
They also backed Egypt’s firm position towards the Palestinian issue and the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with Al Quds (occupied East Jerusalem) as its capital. (MENA)
