CAIRO, Jan 12 (MENA) - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates said it is following up on the conditions of Egyptians living in Los Angeles and neighboring cities in the US State of California, amid the spread of devastating wildfires.
In a statement released on Sunday, the ministry added that the office of Ambassador Nabil Habashi, the deputy minister of foreign affairs, is coordinating with the Egyptian Consulate General in Los Angeles to make sure the Egyptians there are safe.
The ministry appealed to Egyptians in Los Angeles and neighboring cities to exercise extreme caution and keep away from danger areas, in addition to responding to warnings and instructions issued by local authorities.
It also advised them to contact the Egyptian Consulate General in Los Angeles in case of any injuries or loss of lives, via email: (egyptconsulatela@egyptconsulatela.com) or phone number: (323-933-9700).
The ministry expressed Egypt's full solidarity with the US at this critical time, offering its sincere condolences to the victims' families.
The ministry also wished a speedy recovery to the injured. (MENA)
