CAIRO, Dec 28 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty on Saturday participated in the Egyptian-Gabonese Business Forum, which was held in the capital Libreville, in presence of Gabonese President Oligui Nguema and seven ministers from Gabon.
The forum was attended by a number of Egyptian and Gabonese businessmen and investors.
Abdelatty emphasized in a word the importance of the forum as a platform for boosting economic cooperation between Egypt and Gabon.
He reiterated presidential directives to enhance bilateral ties toward new horizons through the expansion of the volume of trade exchange and promotion of joint investments.
The foreign minister confirmed Egypt's readiness to be present in the Gabonese market and support comprehensive development plans along with offering its expertise on all fronts, with special focus on the fields of infrastructure, energy, construction, medications and agriculture in order to attain sustainable development.
Abdelatty pointed out to the pivotal role of public and private sector companies in fostering development in the African continent.
The volume of Egyptian investments in Africa exceeded 14 billion dollars, according to him. (MENA)
