LIBREVILLE, Dec 27 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty commended distinguished ties between Egypt and Gabon.

The minister's remarks came during his meeting with Gabon's Minister of Foreign Affairs in Charge of Sub-Regional Integration and Abroad RĂ©gis Onanga Ndiaye during his current official visit to Libreville.

The two ministers discussed boosting relations between the two countries and a host of regional issues of mutual interest.

Abdelatty expressed Egypt's interest in shoring up economic and trade ties between the two countries.

He further noted that he is accompanied by representatives of major Egyptian government and private companies to discuss investment opportunities in Gabon in the coming period with the view to beefing up investments and intra-trade between the two countries.

The two sides also discussed boosting cooperation in the areas of infrastructure, construction, energy, and pharmaceuticals.

The two ministers reviewed regional issues of mutual interest related to the African continent.

They stressed the importance of enhancing coordination and consultation at the regional and international levels and promoting joint action to strengthen security and stability in Africa. (MENA)
