CAIRO, Nov 23 (MENA) – Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty asserted Egypt’s firm commitment, under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi, to work with the AU commission and all parties concerned to implement the new policy of the AU on Post Conflict Reconstruction and Development (PCRD).

This came during Abdelatty’s word during the fourth edition of the Post-Conflict Reconstruction and Development (PCRD) Awareness Week, that is currently in session in Addis Ababa.

The event comes at a time of serious security and developmental challenges that are facing the African continent, Abdelatty said.

The vision of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi is focusing on addressing these challenges urgently and comprehensively to contribute to boosting the abilities and the role of national, regional and continental institutions to confront internal and external challenges to reach peaceful and sustainable solutions to crises and disputes, he said.

Through hosting Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development, Egypt is keen on presenting this vision and highlighting the importance of the national property and African solidarity to achieve sustainable peace and security, in addition to shedding light on the relations between peace, security and development, he asserted.
