CAIRO, Nov 15 (MENA) - Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Badr Abdelatty praised the distinguished Egyptian-Cypriot relations and joint cooperation at various levels.

Meeting with his Cypriot counterpart Constantinos Kombos, Abdelatty emphasized the strategic nature of the bilateral ties and expressed eagerness to further develop them across different fields.

The meeting was held on the sidelines of the Sir Bani Yas Forum in the UAE, according to a press release.

Abdelatty highlighted Egypt's keenness to host the 10th summit of the trilateral cooperation mechanism grouping Egypt, Cyprus, and Greece, as well as the second session of the High Governmental Committee co-chaired by the Egyptian and Cypriot presidents.

The minister also stressed Egypt's commitment to bolstering economic, trade, and investment relations between the two countries through the establishment of a joint business council.

He pointed to the importance of intensifying joint economic events to enhance investment and trade cooperation, particularly in the fields of energy, agriculture, tourism, maritime transport, and fisheries.

Additionally, Abdelatty affirmed the significance Egypt places on developing collaboration regarding the employment of Egyptian workers in Cyprus. (MENA)
