CAIRO, July 7 (MENA) - President Abdel Fattah El Sisi stressed on Sunday that Egypt will spare no effort to close Sudanese ranks, end the war and ensure return of stability and security.

Sisi made the remarks during his meeting with a Sudanese delegation representing the Sudanese political and civil powers that took part in a conference in Cairo on Saturday. The conference was attended by Foreign and Migration Affairs Minister Badr Abdel Aati, Intelligence chief Abbas Helmi in addition to representatives of the UAE, Qatar, South Sudan, Germany, the AU, the UN, the Arab League and the ambassadors of France, UK, Norway, EU and Saudi Arabia in Cairo.

Presidential spokesman Ahmed Fahmi said Sisi expressed his appreciation for the participants' quick response to the Egyptian invitation to hold this important conference held under the slogan "Together to Stop the War" as it comes at a very critical stage through which brotherly Sudan is going through which requires creating an appropriate atmosphere to unify the visions of the Sudanese parties towards ways to stop the war.

President Sisi underlined the need to step up attempts to reach a comprehensive political solution that materializes the aspirations of the Sudanese people and ends the deep multi-dimensional crisis Sudan is experiencing given its disastrous repercussions on various political, social and humanitarian levels.

Sisi said the Egyptian State is exerting utmost efforts at bilateral, regional and international levels to face repercussions of the Sudanese crisis through sending humanitarian aid shipment to the brothers in Sudan and hosting millions of Sudanese in Egypt.

He underlined the need that the political track of the Sudanese crisis would include all parties and would consider the national interest of Sudan based on respecting the sovereignty of Sudan and the integrity of its territories.

He reiterated Egypt's keenness to coordinate and cooperate with regional and international partners to resolve the Sudanese crisis.

Fahmi said participants in the conference expressed their appreciation for the sincere Egyptian efforts to support Sudan since the beginning of the current crisis, which embodies the depth of ties binding the two peoples.

They welcomed efforts of the Egyptian leadership to bring the views of the Sudanese parties closer to get out of the current crisis as well as Egypt's support to the people of Sudan which is manifested through the country's tireless efforts to address the catastrophic humanitarian situation in Sudan and its hosting of the Sudanese people in their second homeland, Egypt, which reflects fraternal relations binding the two countries and brotherly peoples.
