CAIRO, July 6 (MENA) - Foreign Minister Badr Abdel Aati said the Egyptian State spares no effort to heal the rift and resolve the Sudanese crisis, thanking all Sudanese political forces for their constructive participation in the Cairo Conference and upholding Sudan’s national interest.

This came at the closing session of the Cairo-hosted conference, held on Saturday under the theme of "together to halt the war in Sudan", with the participation of civil and political forces and relevant regional and international partners.

The Egyptian leadership, government and people confirm that Sudan is in the heart of every Egyptian and that they will spare no effort to heal the rift so that Sudan can get out of this ordeal, the minister said.

He further stressed that the active participation of representatives of countries and regional and international organizations in the Cairo Conference showed the strong support of the regional and international communities for all efforts made to reach a real solution to the Sudanese crisis and end the suffering of the Sudanese people.

He expressed his confidence that all these countries and organizations will work to ensure that this conference's outcomes serve as "a building block" that is still waiting for a great effort to be made to restore stability to Sudan and get it out of this dangerous turning point that threatens the entity of the Sudanese state and regional and international security and peace.

Egypt called on all representatives of regional and international countries to support the outcomes of this conference, build on them, and support Sudan in its ordeal, the minister said.

Egypt also urged neighboring countries that bear the brunt of the negative impacts of the ongoing violence in Sudan to back the conference's outcomes, the minister said.

This violence led to hundreds of thousands fleeing the scourge of these conflicts and the displacement of millions to the least dangerous areas in Sudan, he added.

He also stressed the necessity of working to ensure the unity of Sudan and the sovereignty of its lands and preserve the Sudanese institutions.

The minister concluded by thanking the representatives of the Sudanese civil and political forces for responding to Cairo’s call to hold this conference in Cairo, and their high level of participation in its deliberations. (MENA)
