CAIRO, April 30 (MENA) - Prime Minister of Belarus Roman Golovchenko praised Tuesday the close relationship between Egypt and his country, noting that Egypt is an old partner, politically and economically.

The Belarus PM was delivering a speech, during the activities of the Egyptian-Belarus Business Forum, which was held at the government headquarters in the New Administrative Capital.

The meeting was chaired by the prime ministers of the two countries.

Golovchenko lauded the Egyptian development experience, thanking the Egyptian side for hosting this event, noting that there is currently a major revival of the dynamics and pace of trade exchange between Egypt and Belarus.

He praised the extraordinary efforts made by the two sides to increase trade exchange through joint work carried out by government departments and businessmen in both countries.

He indicated that varied kinds of Egyptian products are exported to the Belarus market, especially medicines, cosmetics, textiles, fruits and vegetables.

He said that Belarus exports to Egypt include tractors, cars, agricultural machinery, chemicals, paper products, and many other goods.

He expressed his aspiration to increase import and export deals between the two countries to achieve a balance of trade equilibrium.

At the conclusion of his speech, the premier of Belarus invited businessmen from both countries to exploit promising business opportunities, especially in light of the measures taken by the Egyptian government to improve the business climate and amend legislation to protect investments in the Egyptian market.
